I Just Got Back from Israel. Here’s What I Saw. From the families we serve to the facilities we’re building.

Message from Maj. Gen. (Res.) Nadav Padan
CEO, FIDF

Dear Friend,

I’ve just returned from Israel, and I’m still carrying the weight—and the inspiration—of what I experienced.

FIDF, in partnership with the Ministry of Defense, is establishing a new facility in Tel Aviv dedicated to our most severely wounded veterans, those living with traumatic brain injuries. Inside those walls, our resilient veterans will relearn the basics: speaking, eating, communicating. The things most of us never think twice about. This facility is a promise that no hero who gave everything for their country will navigate recovery alone.

We are also deepening our work with reservists. Together with the IDF and the Ministry of Defense, FIDF is developing a long-term, multi-year program for the men and women who have already served hundreds of days and will continue to serve for years to come. They have sacrificed time, family, and normalcy on a scale Israel has not seen in generations. This is Israel's new reality, and we are committed to building the support system that meets it.

I know many of you continue to watch the news closely. From what I saw and heard during my meetings with IDF and Ministry of Defense leadership, our soldiers are operating with extraordinary discipline under incredibly difficult conditions.

Israel stands on the front line of the free world in the Middle East, and the partnership between our militaries reflects the shared values and common interests that unite our nations. Through all of it, the partnership between the IDF and the U.S. military continues to grow stronger.

As we approach the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Israel Day Parade in New York City this past weekend was a reminder of just how deep that bond runs. Thousands of proud Zionists filled the streets, including more than 200 of our own supporters, a living symbol of a friendship between two nations that has only grown stronger with time. The alliance between our two countries is not just diplomatic. Our greatest hope is that the deep and growing professional relationship between the IDF and the U.S. military will help strengthen the bond between our peoples for generations to come. It is personal, it is generational, and right now, it is as vital as it has ever been.

Our soldiers are proudly defending. They will not back down. We are here to make sure they know they are not alone.

With heartfelt appreciation,

Maj. Gen. (Res.) Nadav Padan
Chief Executive Officer
